Gary and Karen have been running The Axe for over 11 years and have always ensured customers receive a friendly welcome and relaxed environment to enjoy. We have consistently kept out standards high both in service and the quality of the products that we sell. We simply want our customers to enjoy their visits to us so they come back again and again.
The Axminster Inn is a truly unique pub in this day and age, and to quote numerous customers and visitors, “a proper pub”, where conversation, enjoyment, the highest quality cask ale, other drinks and bar snacks are of the highest order and can be enjoyed by all. Unfortunately, in this day and age, the Traditional British Pub is becoming a thing of the past, but we are committed 100% to keep this one going strong. But we can't do that without your help thus custom.
The Axminster Inn is community focused. We have our own Skittle Ally which can also be pre-booked for meetings and events.
Numerous clubs, societies and groups of friends meet here, from the choir to classic car enthusiasts to Shanty Singers. They (and you) have the option of simply meeting socially in the top or bottom bar or the privacy of the skittle alley.
